Different types of road bridges including extradosed bridge over the Fraser River formed by steel superstructure with composite concrete deck suspended on concrete pylons and adjacent viaduct and approach ramp sections formed mainly by prefabricated concrete NU-girders with cast-in-situ composite concrete deck. Cable stayed bridge, Zidlochovice, CZ (DS Olomouc)
Relatively modest span of 55m is suspended on inclined towers in two planes along the deck edges. The deck is formed of precast longitudinal edge girders with precast cross elements spanning the distance between them. The composite concrete deck is cast over the cross members at the end. Design of the erection procedure, calculation of the erection stages and supervision of the construction.
Bridges on D47, Ostrava, CZ (Strasky, Husty and Partners, Ltd.)
The design consists of four main route bridges and four overpasses. Two major bridges are steel-concrete composite box girders with external post tensioning. The length is 400m with spans up to 100m. Other major bridges are steel-concrete composite bridges with open section that forms a multispan viaducts of a total length of 750 m and 600 m with spans up to 48 m and 70 m. One bridge is built by incremental launching, one by heavy lifting of the complete spans. All the bridges are located in a region of recent mining activity, thus the design must respect this. The bridges are furnished with STU (LUD) devices.
Stress ribbon footbridge, Maidstone, UK (Strasky, Husty and Partners, Ltd.)
Stress ribbon of unique first of this type span alignment. The bridge of total length has three spans that bend horizontally over the intermediate supports. The composite deck is made of precast segments and in-situ concrete. The bridge is a part of The Millenium project for Maidstone Borough Council in Maidstone, Kent, UK. Nominee for fib outstanding structure and awarded.
Cable Stayed Odra Bridge, Ostrava, CZ (Strasky, Husty and Partners, Ltd.)
One tower cable stayed bridge across Odra river and adjacent lakes. Main spans of 105 m are suspended at central plane of the bridge. The deck is formed by two parallel shallow box girders with smooth u-shaped bottom slab mutually interconnected via transversal struts integrated with anchor blocks for the stays. The deck continues as two separate bridges at approach spans. Conceptual design, erection method, construction engineering.

Superstructure is formed by a steel box girder with cast in situ concrete slab. Steel structure was erected using a progressive cantilever method with temporary supports. Superstructure is post-tensioned longitudinally using external cables. Concrete slab is post-tensioned transversely.
